Where we are

Alcamo less than an hour from everything

Alcamo sits halfway between Palermo and Trapani, on the inland side of the gulf of Castellammare. It is a town of forty thousand people, with an old centre you can walk, a mountain looking down on it and a medieval castle that houses the wine museum.

Distances, in driving minutes

These minutes were actually measured, outside July and August. In August, on the road to Scopello, allow another fifteen or so.

From here you reach everywhere and come back to sleep in the same place

Then there is the wine. Alcamo has carried its own DOC since 1972, and that is the reason this building has the vaults it has. Several wineries can be visited, some ten minutes from here: if you like, we will happily point you to them.

The old centre

The walled town takes an afternoon on foot, and in the evening it fills up without turning into a fairground. It is a ten minute walk from here.
