Cookies
This site writes not one cookie of its own. No profiling, no consent panel to fill in, nothing to say no to. The only thing the site remembers is that you already dismissed the notice at the bottom, and it remembers that in your browser local storage rather than in a cookie: it stays on your computer and never reaches us.
The Alcamo page carries an embedded Google map, because it is what makes us findable: opening that page gives Google your IP address and lets it write its own cookies, even without an account. It is the only external service loaded by the pages of this site, and we do not use it to profile you. The calendar on the booking page, at the first touch, asks Octorate, the property management system this house runs on, for the picture of free dates: that request carries your IP address and nothing else. Pressing Search takes you to the site of Octorate, where the booking is completed under its own policy and its own cookies.
There is currently no analytics system: neither Google Analytics nor anything else. We do not know how many people visit the site, and for now we are fine with that. If one is ever switched on, this page will say so before it happens, not after.
The cookies Google writes through the map can be cleared and blocked in your browser settings, like any other. The site keeps working: you lose the map, not the rest. Local storage is emptied from the same panel, and the notice at the bottom comes back.
